An SEO audit is basically a health check of your website to ensure it is performing as well as it could be. We conduct a thorough review of your site, assessing both technical elements (like data passed directly to Google) and non-technical elements (like the actual words on each page) through a series of advanced online tools and checks against a specific criteria. We have built up a bank of our own significant SEO knowledge, which helps us know what to look out for.
We look at each element that affects your performance on Google individually and collectively and assess how well each is performing, then we provide details on how you can change them to make your website perform better. Simple!
The audit is an important first step which will benchmark your current SEO performance and provide you with a checklist of elements that could be better, including brief details on how to improve them. After you’ve digested the audit you might want to start correcting your website yourself (this is fine, use our audit as a guide), or you might decide you would like us to do the work (this is fine too, we’ll provide you with a quote based on the outcomes from the audit), or you might decide your current web company is best placed to make the changes (also fine: just pass on our audit to them).
You could of course decide to do a bit of all of the above approaches (guess what: this is fine too!) In this instance, we would work with you to create a plan whereby you correct things like text, based on our strategy and we implement technical changes.
SEO has changed a lot over the last few years. We have only ever practised what you could term ‘new SEO’, but unfortunately some ‘old SEO’ companies completed work for clients that may have negatively impacted their site in the long term. If you’ve had SEO work done that you don’t think has helped, then we’ll look at this and advise you if the work has created a problem for you.
We’ll also look at your competitors as part of the audit and show you how well you’re doing compared to them. You might be pleasantly surprised, or at least have a benchmark to aim for! In addition, we’ll provide an executive summary to give you an overview of what we found when we looked at your site. Of course, you’ll have the full details of the audit, but we’ll try to give you the key facts and figures up front, so that you can deal with those first.
With an Adviser-Store Audit, your firm will be well on its way to improved Google rankings and more opportunities making it to your website.
